SSoE Graduate

The Samueli School of Engineering (SSoE) offers a broad range of graduate programs, that lead to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees, as well as graduate professional master’s degrees. The school has currently approx. 1000 enrolled graduate students, half of them in Ph.D. and half in Master’s and professional programs, trained with an integrative approach that blends fundamentals, research and hands-on experience. The school’s aim is to educate and train the next generation of global engineering innovators, unleash innovation, and create opportunities.

the GPS OFFICE

The Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) serves prospective and current graduate students with the Samueli School of Engineering. Our office is housed at Engineering Hall (EH 5400) and works closely with all departments and programs in the school, as well as with the Graduate Division. We provide services including: recruitment and admission, general counseling and advice, graduate funding including fellowships, career development, graduation and conferral of degrees. The office serves as the final school-wide stop for approval of petitions, advancement to candidacy, degree conferrals and other academic processes.
